Mardi Gras Bead

The artwork pictured on the following pages is constructed entirely of Mardi Gras beads. Each strand used was personally caught by the artist (or one of his many fans) from a float during the Mardi Gras parades held in New Orleans each year. The beads are affixed to the wood backing using a thick layer of mortar-like glue. The beads are 'set in' and dry in one solid layer.

Click on any Mardi Gras mosaic below for a closer view of the piece.

Please note: Due to variations on computer monitors, colors depicted may vary from the originals. If interested, additional photos can be made available upon request.
